Greetings! I hail from Edinboro, Pennsylvania and did my undergraduate work at Edinboro University of Pennsylvania. Some of my favorite Western philosophers are Aristotle, Kant, J. S. Mill, Bertrand Russell, Wittgenstein, John Rawls, and Martha Nussbaum. I enjoy reading, good movies, hiking, writing, camping, playing guitar, yoga, cooking, and working out at the gym. I am an Associate Professor of Philosophy and Religion at Illinois Central College. In the past I have taught at The University of Nebraska - Lincoln, The University of Nebraska - Omaha, the College of Saint Mary, Metropolitan Community College , Midland Lutheran College and Nebraska Methodist College. I received my M.A. and Ph.D. in philosophy at the University of Nebraska - Lincoln. My doctoral dissertation was BACKGROUND ENVIRONMENTAL JUSTICE: an extension of Rawls's Political Liberalism.
I am married and live with my wife and daughter in Peoria, IL. My mother is retired, and lives in Edinboro, PA.
